Program

Day 1 – Arrive and transfer to Haputale via Labookellie tea estate.

• Enjoy the views – The stunning views on route to Hill country is likely to be the highlight of your trip. Hence take time to enjoy the scenery.

• Labookellie Tea Factory - You will be taken on a guided tour of the tea factory on your way too Haputale. This centre also serves freshly brewed tea with homemade chocolate cake.

• Overnight stay at Haputale

Day 2 and 3

• Lipton’s Seat - Located 1970m, above sea level, Lipton’s Seat is one of the most scenic points in Haputale. On a clear day, the point provides a spectacular view of five provinces.

• Ella Gap -  Surrounded by ‘ little Adam’s Peak’ and the Ella Mountain, the Ella Gap, is a spectacular view of the gap in the southern mountain wall, where land falls, to a drop of 3000ft to the Southern plains, and the sea. It is believed that on a clear day, you could see the southern shorelines from here

• Rawana Falls - Located on the Ella – Wellawaya Road, the Rawana Falls stands at a height of 40m and is considered one of the widest waterfalls in the country.  The waterfall is also linked to the Indian epic, Ramayana as it is believed that King of Sri Lanka, Rawana had kidnapped Princess Sita and hid her in the caves behind this waterfall in Ella.
